Congratulations to the New Orleans Saints and their Super Bowl Victory. Drew Brees is a true leader and he is well deserving of this victory. They played like a team and never let up. Not even while trailing early.
It was a great game and you couldn’t ask for a better match up.

obama

President Obama has been given the Nobel Peace prize! “He got the prize because he has been able to change the international climate,” Nobel Committee chairman Thorbjoern Jagland said. “Some people say, and I understand it, isn’t it premature? Too early? Well, I’d say then that it could be too late to respond three years from now. It is now that we have the opportunity to respond — all of us.”

flu-vaccineU.S. health officials have approved vaccines from four drugmakers to help prevent the H1N1 swine flu, ensuring there will be enough to inoculate Americans who want the protection, U.S. Health Secretary Kathleen Sebelius stated to Federal Lawmakers Tuesday.

She also stated that “the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has  approved vaccines from Sanofi-Aventis SA, CSL Ltd, Medimmune and Novartis AG for the H1N1 strain of influenza.

“There will be vaccines for everyone,” Sebelius stated to the  U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee.

There are about 300 million potential users, and not all Americans will opt for the shot.  The FDA said the first doses will be ready within the month.

IMG_7071 (2)We can’t say enough good things about the quality of fruit that comes from the Northwest.  Fruit of every variety.  Pears from the Hood River Valley, Kiwi’s from the Wilamette region.  Sweet apples from across the river in Washington.  With so many variety of each fruit type its such a good idea to share it with friends and Family not in the area.

Our favorite resource for quality gift baskets that fruit baskets.  They have some amazing designs and the taste and size of the fruit is unbelievable.  Their pears were featured on the cover of Oprah’ s O Magazine and they were rated above their competitors by Consumer Reports.

The gift of choice for us is the Cheddar Pears and Apple’s box.  A great blend of the best fruit accompanied by Oregon’s own Rogue Creamery Cheddar cheese.  Simply delightful for the pallet.  Check them out here at www.thefruitcompany.com
